Feels like Fall, Finally!
It has finally turned off cool! Autumn has really began here at E3:20 Acres. Time for bonfires, apple cider and college football! It is also time for finishing the outside work that we had to leave off during 90°-100° weather we had in Summer. Chores like washing the mildew off the back of the house, which I never in my life saw until moving to Tennessee. Finishing phase 2 of the flood damage repair is on the list. And moving the big rocks from the creek by the bridge, back upstream to the driveway where they belong. Strong bodies apply within!
We weren’t very successful with our garden this year. I learned to garden in Michigan. The weather here is very different. We learned a lot this first growing season on the farm. We will begin our list of things to start earlier come January. But God has blessed us with generous neighbors who have shared their abundance with us. We keep sharing the fresh eggs and venison God gives us with others. He keeps pouring out blessings back to us more than we can ever imagine.
Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38 HCSB
Our chest freezer and cupboard are full of meat, veggies, berries and jams.
I can’t wait to keep you updated on everything going on in this One17life! Stay tuned! Much, much more to come!
