The difference a year makes

Last year on Easter Resurrection Sunday, we woke up from spending the very first night on our new farm, which we recently named E3:20 Acres. Good friends helped us move our entire household in just one day. This gorgeous place is certainly more than we ever imagined while we prayed faithfully for the place God had already set aside for us. The name E3:20 Acres comes from the New Testament.

Historic moment: hanging our farm sign!

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20 NLT

Last year, overnight rain left cold wet grass but we still hunted eggs outside. The boys squeezed around boxes to find Easter baskets on the porch.

Prayer walking through Gainsboro

This year, we spent holy week prayer walking through a nearby town, with our new church family. We shared a Good Friday meal with friends, after a worship service and egg hunt at their church. On Resurrection Sunday, we enjoyed praise and worship with our church family, followed by a delicious meal that was open to the entire community.

Savoring our blessings, relaxing and reflecting

Once home, we spent the rest of the day enjoying our blessings and talking about how much God has blessed us this past year. We are super excited for this next year to unfold! We can’t wait!

Happy Easter! He has risen!
