New Starts, New Additions

Lots of new things happening around the farm these days! We have soaked and planted our seeds indoors. The kids are eagerly awaiting the tiny new shoots! They search the pod pack daily for their appearance. If you look closely, you can see a few have emerged already!

And this morning, quite on the spur of the moment, we jumped in the truck and headed off to Tractor Supply Co. to get us some baby chicks! No planning, no real preparation- just went. Does everyone do this or just us??

Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success. Proverbs 15:22 NLT

We did hit our local Wal-mart first for some light grocery shopping. So upon returning to the farm, the not planned out chaos of post-grocery shopping, feeding all the current animals and getting the new chicks situated rolled out like a car with one square wheel.

Oh, also it had began to rain. By the time we were in the chicken house, it was pouring. It all worked together to make a wet messy afternoon we will likely never forget. But the big smiles as the chicks entered their new growing box made it all worth while.
